You can learn in two days, all you need to know to explore underwater caverns, in the most beautiful adventurous environment in the USA!
Cavern diving is defined as diving within the light zone of a cave, the area near the cave entrance where natural light is always visible. If you want to explore secrets hidden in caverns around the world, you'll need your PADI/SSI Cavern Diver certification
Cavern diving is spectacular and rewarding. It challenges our ability to plan and execute dives in a controlled and environmentally sensitive way. Caverns often hold the secrets of our past. We can sometimes find fossils and rock formations which have laid undisturbed for millions of years. The PADI/SSI Cavern Diver Specialty Course will enable you to develop your practical knowledge of the cavern environment and organize exploration in safety.
During your first open water dive you will practice line handling, use of reels, and emergency procedures in an open water environment. Your final three dives are conducted in the cavern environment. Your cavern penetration training dives limited to within the light zone and 130 feet total distance of the surface.
Prerequisite: SSI or PADI Advanced Open Water (or other qualifying certification) and 18 years old
Price: $700.00
Course fee does not include rental equipment. (price subject to change)
The program covers the knowledge and techniques of cavern diving and describes the dangers involved with cavern diving. The following is included in your PADI Cavern Diver Course:
Equipment required for the course:
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 to a depth of 40 meter/130 feet during dives hat do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. Advanced Nitrox is also a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times in shallower depths such as scientific diver, and a must for SCR or CCR divers.
The course cover topics like:
You will use the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diving manual for your course, which explains in an easy to understand practical manner the complex information that Advanced Nitrox divers need to know.
Prerequisite: Certified Nitrox Diver, and show proof of 25 logged open water dives.
Certification Course Cost: $500.00 Includes: classroom instruction, dives in the year-round comfort of Bonne Terre's crystal clear indoor lake, only 1 hour from St. Louis, air and TDI certification. Take advantage of our discounted rate by enrolling in both the Advanced Nitrox Diver course and the Decompression Procedures Diver course for a total of $900!
As sport divers planned decompression is not something that we do or have been taught. The TDI Decompression Procedures course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45m/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. Your TDI Instructor will provide you with valuable information and skills, among the topics covered are:
The TDI Decompressions Procedures course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels. Some of the materials you will be using include the TDI Divers Guide to Decompression Procedures, US Navy or Buhlmann Air Decompression Tables (made of vinyl for in-water use and storage)
Prerequisite: Minimum age 18, Advanced Certification, 25 logged open water dives.
